The European Music Day returns this year with live and online events from 18 to 21 June. Despite the difficulties of organizing live events, public and private organizations, amateur and professional musicians, volunteers and active citizens, work feverishly for the most melodic day of the year.

From Herodeion Atticus Theatre to the medieval city of Rhodes, Acheloos, Agrafa, Amfilochia, Santorini, Sykia Korinthias, Larissa, Corinth, Krestena, Xanthi, Messolonghi, Livadia and other cities and regions of the country are getting ready to flood again with notes and melodies.

The European Music Day is under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture & Sports. At the initiative of Melina Mercouri, in 1985 Athens was the first Cultural Capital of Europe and the first city outside France to celebrate the European Music Festival. Since then, Greece celebrates every year the 1st of summer – the 21st of June – the longest day of the year (summer solstice).

Due to the Covid Pandemic events will be limites. Please follow our FB page for the latest updates
